What a Dream!!!

As I walked down the road, I saw something unusual, something very different than the everyday encounter. There was a pretty bird with uneven wings, one wing lengthier than the other; at first I went closer to understand what it does with this uneven length or pretty odd feature, As I approached closer and closer, I saw something funny and leaked out a ‘HA” from my mouth.

The bird was trying to fly & fell multiple times as the navigation was tough to control or stabilize. But then after a few minutes & probably 10 “HA’s” I was amazed. It tried for sometime, fell a lot of times and finally covered its entire body with its longest wing. Stood still for sometime, felt like it needed the warmth to console itself, to gather itself, measuring its ability, re-building its confidence and waiting for the steam to build up slowly up to the brim.

Once it was ready, it flung into the air – using the longest wing to propel itself into thin air, making it shoot like a rocket in a spiral motion. This sight was very pleasing to see, as the bird flew spirally into the air the colourful feathers blended with the surrounding making it look like a tracer in the sky – a beauty just mind-blowing to watch.

How the bird understood itself, its strengths, taking time to know itself, analyse its uneven growth or weird nature and then move with a confidence that makes the entire mankind look like a bunch of cowards.

I was so taken back and amazed that I ended up clapping loudly with joy and respect, unfortunately to my luck the sound of my clap reached the ear of the bird and it targeted me as though I’m its personal bull’s-eye, flew right towards me with an impactful intension, came closer to me, stopped just as it's beak reached my ear and it whispered “ I am ‘YOU’; just stop dreaming and take the leap”, saying this it slapped me really hard on my right cheek & I wake up staring at my sister trying to wake me up from a very long deep sleep.
