Satan's Key

I met this awesome gentleman from Hyderabad and had a mind blowing conversation with him. Just a 30-40 mins of talk felt like billion hours of wisdom inflow. I will never forget the day "17-01-19" which has made my new year resolution simple and sturdy. I will let you know my resolution, but first let me share what I obtained from the conversation.

How do we obtain peace? Serenity? Eternal patience and the ability to remain unbelievably calm?
Lot of us try different things, go different ways, basically experiment and learn but hardly a handful get lucky.

Lets take me for example, in search of peace I did try a lot of things, finally very few helped me get peace but I have successfully learnt to be happy, so I do reciprocate happiness for peace. But what I did, learnt and implemented also had simpler methods. But the secret again holds that - " it only gets simpler when you fall down or fail a lot, until then it's just a wise saying that no one follows".
Just like success is actually understood best when you fail a lot.

What is this simpler method that I spoke about?
Before we answer that, lets try to understand what role our mind has in our existence.

What do you think is the role of our mind? Does it channel our thoughts in the right direction?
Does it help us move on towards positivity? Peace?
What does it actually do?

Our mind plays games, tries and always succeeds in making sure we don't live the moment. I'm sure lot of you have different opinions and may disagree with me. Just read it out and see if this helps, if it doesn't, you are always welcome to share your thoughts in the comment section.

Have these things ever happened to you?

1. You are having an awesome time and suddenly something sad that had happened years ago, comes back in a flash and gets you low?

2. You try to concentrate on something important and failed?

3. You want to do something good but you end up listening to your mind, which scares you of a lot of things like especially its most favourite - "what would others think?"

So in conclusion our mind diverts, plays, tricks, and do everything just to get off our focus from the present. We have always, always tried to think and be sad about the past, think and be worried about the future, but never stopped to think and try to live the day.

So the primary source of all solution lies in understanding the right problem. Here the problem is that our minds are smart and they trick our ways to take over our selves. We have become our mind and we have to change that.

How do we do that?
Firstly, let me tell you that no one has won a fight against the mind. So how then do we win?

Once our mind gets the idea that we are planning against it, it takes it up as a challenge and outsmarts us. So just play along and listen to all it has to say and do respond positively to its suggestions but do what you actually want to do and then convince the mind that it was an error or in some other ways you deem suitable.

You can't delete your mind, neither can you replace it, but you can most definitely format it one step at a time. Slowly taking its powers away and letting it follow your ways. Because if you can direct your mind either by tricking it or by commanding it, then there is nothing in this world that can stop peace from knocking and entering your door step.

Finally, the simpler method I spoke about is "trick your mind to do what you want". That's it. It is actually a really difficult task but yet again the easiest task to do. For those who have failed in life and know the value of success it's easier than those who have stayed in their comfort zone forever.

So go ahead people stop following the mind and start playing with it. Not from tomorrow, not from next month, but from today and from now. Because if it's not now then when else?, If it's not you then who else?

My resolution for this year is to use the Satan's key i.e "trick the mind to do what I want" which will help me lock the Satan away.

All the best and let me know what worked so we can help more and more people attain peace.
